Treatment Pre-Care and Post-Care
At Cedars Aesthetics & Wellness, your safety, comfort, and results are our top priorities. Each treatment we offer is accompanied by specific pre-care and post-care guidelines designed to help you achieve the best possible outcome and minimize any risk of side effects.
Before your appointment, please take a few moments to review the pre-care and post-care instructions for your treatment. Following these recommendations ensures your skin is properly prepared, supports optimal healing, and enhances the longevity of your results.
Pre-Care for Laser Treatments and Microneedling

No sun exposure or tanning in the last 4 weeks

No waxing, plucking, threading, sugaring in the last 4-6 weeks
-
No injectables in the area for the last 4 weeks
-
No history of keloid scarring
-
No accutane or isotretinoin use in the last 6 months
-
Not pregnant or breast feeding
-
No open sores on treatment area
-
No history of skin cancer on treatment area
-
Moles will not be treated
-
No acne or eczema flare up on treatment area
-
If you are diabetic lower limbs will not be treated
-
No surgical pins or plates under treated area
Post- Care for Laser Treatments and Microneedling

No sun/UV exposure or self tanner for 2 weeks post treatment
-
No shaving for 48-72 hours post treatment
-
No waxing, plucking, threading, or hair removal creams between treatments
-
Avoid harsh products such as bleaching creams, perfumed products, topicals such as retinols, glycolic acids, Vitamin C, or any other actives for 48 hours
-
Avoid very hot baths/ showers, steam rooms, hot tubs, pools, suana for 1 week
-
Avoid exfoliating or peels for 1 week
-
Avoid rough or tight clothing for 24-48 hours
-
Keep hydrated
-
Use SPF of 30 or above on treated areas
-
Redness and mild irritation can occur for 24-48 hours post treatment
-
If blistering or increased pain occurs please contact us immediately
Post- Care for Neuromodulators
-
Remain upright for the next 4 hours
-
Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for the next 24 hours
-
Bruising can occur and should resolve over the next week
-
No make up for the next 4 hours
-
No exercise, swimming, hot saunas, and sweating for at least 24 hours
-
Avoid irritating skin care products such as retinoids and glycolic acid for 24 hours
-
Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours post treatment as it can increase the risk of bruising
-
If pain management is required use tylenol (if not allergic) instead of NSAIDs as this can increase the risk of bruising
-
If you had a lip flip you may experience difficulty drinking through straws, whistling, or pronoucing certain words, this is temporary and will resolve in about 2 weeks

Use sun protection as sun exposure can negatively affect longevity of results
-
Please contact us if any you are experiencing excessive pain or if signs of an infection occur, such as fever, redness, or pus occurs arund treated sites
Post- Care for Dermal Fillers

Swelling, redness, and bruising can occur

Keep hydrated
-
Avoid touching or rubbing the injected area
-
Avoiding sleeping on the treated area for 3-5 nights
-
No make up for the next 4 hours
-
No exercise, swimming, hot saunas, and sweating for 2-3 days
-
Avoid irritating skin care products such as retinoids and glycolic acid for 2-3 days
-
Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours post treatment as it can increase the risk of bruising

Avoid air travel for 72 hours

Avoid dental work for 2 weeks

If pain management is required use tylenol (if not allergic) instead of NSAIDs as this can increase the risk of bruising

Avoid laser treatments for 1 month and chemical peels for 2 weeks

Use sun protection as sun exposure can negatively affect longevity of results

Please contact us if any you are experiencing excessive pain, if you suspect a vascular occlusion, or if signs of an infection occur, such as fever, redness, or pus occurs around treated sites
Post- Care for PRP

Swelling, redness, and bruising can occur and will subside in the next few days

Keep hydrated

Avoid touching or rubbing the injected area for the next 6 hours

No make up, skincare, or sunscreen for the next 24 hours

No exercise, swimming, hot saunas, and sweating for 48 hours

If you had your hair/ scalp treated, avoid washing your head for 24 hours
-
Avoid chemical peels and laser treatments for the next 2 weeks
-
Avoid retinoids and glycolic acid for 24-48 hours
-
Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours post treatment as it can increase the risk of bruising

If pain management is required use tylenol (if not allergic) instead of NSAIDs as this can increase the risk of bruising

Please contact us if any you are experiencing excessive pain or if signs of an infection occur, such as fever, redness, or pus occurs arund treated sites
